There is some snow left, and the first flowers are already there.

They have a short summer season to enjoy, the new snow will come again in about 3- 4 months.

In the chapel I saw a photo of Roland F.... it was very unexpected to see him again, even if only in a picture.. and very nice.

 

A cloudy day in Gosau in early January 2012

Various areas of Gosau can help to enjoy various weather conditions, even if they do not look very attractive on certain days. One example is this state-of-the art chair lift with heated seats and cupolas which close and open automatically. Very good for skiing in snowfalls and cold weather.

There was quite a lot of snow, and a sunny day allowed to enjoy the view of the white mountains with the blue sky above. The interesting effect was that it was actually cloudy in the valley, and one could only realize that there is sunshine higher in the montains when he went up with the cable car. On the pictures taken from the top the clouds filling the valleys can be seen.

 

St. Wolfgang in March

The closer to St. Wolfgang, the more it feels like spring. However the village is still empty but for a few tourists. It is normal for this time of the year. The lake it not frozen, though earlier this winter when I checked the web cams it looked like it was…And it is good to see good friends in good health.

Various tree shapes make it look fantastic. And here is another lion… the two violet ones which used to greet me hear Trinkhalle are no longer there. I hope they will come back.
